FOOD

BURGERS
Our burgers are made from Washington beef. We use a chuck/brisket/short rib blend that achieves the perfect balance of juiciness, texture and true beef flavor. No frozen patties here. We cook them to your desired temperature, old school on the flat top griddle so the meat cooks in its own juices and gets a nice crust instead of drying out over an open flame. All of our burgers come with bacon because bacon is awesome!
_______
SANDWICHES
You'll find reubens, clubs, dips and even po'boys here at Big Lake. We even smoke our own pork, which you can get piled on a burger or as sliders on sweet Hawaiian rolls with slaw and pickles.
_______
SOUPS & SALADS
People come from miles around to feast on our Garbage Salad, a meal for one or a great salad to share. All of our soups are made from scratch, including our gumbo made with fresh chicken stock, andouille sausage, chicken, peppers and okra.

School Pick-up Drop Off Reminder

image6

A few friendly reminders for those of you that drop your kids off at school in the morning.

· Please do not drop children off on the street that is in front of the school. Use the parking lot, or the street opposite the school that is lined with rocks. This helps to lessen the back up onto the highway.

· If you drop children off down the street, make sure they are using the crosswalk to get over to the school. With the traffic on the street during this time of day, we want to make sure your child is safely crossing the street.

· In the parking lot, pull up to the front of the rocks before you let your children out of the vehicle. There is room for about three vehicles at a time to let them out. If you let them out further back, we just ask that you then pull out of line to keep everything moving quickly.
· Our goal is to get children out of the car quickly and safely, keeping traffic moving so as not to cause a jam! If you need to help children out of the car, or they are not able to get themselves out alone, please ask for assistance from one of the parking lot attendants. You can also park anywhere in the parking lot if it takes more than a few moments to let your child out.
· Big Lake Grocery has kindly asked that we do not use their parking lot to drop off or pick up children.

Recent Crime!

Theft is in the Neighborhood...

We are starting to see an influx in package thefts county wide. Another crime of opportunity if your package is sitting near you front door and is visible from the road. Most of these thieves are driving around looking for packages. Some even follow the delivery rigs around and wait until they leave.  Have your packages delivered when you are going to be home. Have a trusted neighbor take your packages to their house until you are home. Have them delivered at your work.  Camera system's are great to have as they will capture the activity, but your package will still get hauled off. Have a camera pointing towards your driveway to hopefully capture a vehicle license plate.  Please share some techniques you have used over the years to keep your packages safe.

Thank you,

Chad Clark Undersheriff
